After the Gold Rush
There was a tiny piece of rejoicing round Daily Growl way today at the news of a new album from Canadian songstrel Basia Bulat. The Rough Trade folks won’t be putting it out until 25 January next year, but in the meantime, a new track is doing the rounds. It’s a direct continuation from her debut album’s stirring folk pop, but if you loved that, no need to complain. Newcomers may well be seduced too. Londoners: Basia is playing a one-off London show at Cafe OTO on 25 November. Her live appearances over here have been pretty limited so far, so a gig in a great East End venue is a sweet thing indeed.
